Website Praise

A collection of compliments that this website has received.

I saw your website in my blog’s analytics as it has driven some clicks to one of my posts. Just wanted to compliment you on a fantastic site—excited to have come across it and look forward to continue digging through the immense amount of stuff you have on there. It’s an impressive collection of resources.
I've been taking your advice and probably had the best 5 weeks of my life. Going to the gym 6 times a week, got over most of my social anxiety through exposure therapy, etc. I've realized that everything worth getting in life requires a period of time where I put my head down and grind through the bad stuff.
I stumbled upon your website today and really enjoyed reading your link posts. I also really like the idea of a section for notes. I am now contemplating adding something to my website.
Also, random comment: I had never heard of you before but find your personal website to be rather nice! It's exactly the sort of personal website I like. My own site is rather sparse at the moment but I'll eventually put more online...
Good website :)
I don't know how I had never opened your website before, I know it's being recognized right now but it is very impressive. Inspired me to transition from a Substack to a bearblog for that more personalized feel.
That is an extraordinary website you have there. You wrote all that?
extraordinary website link in reply

I somehow came across a link to your "Where to Live for Happiness" article, then clicked through to the rest of your blog and was very drawn to it: I find most of the content there really interesting, and much of it (on mind-numbing training; Moderation is My Enemy) feel very familiar to my own way of thinking.

If I have a comment/suggestion, it's that your website is present in a flat/timeless/contextless way -- which does it have benefits (easier to index and access things), but it'd be interesting to have a feel on where you are at the present moment: where your thinking is and is going, or what goals are you working towards, or even what you would like to get from readers right now.Related: is there a way to get updates on what you write? Would really enjoy keeping track of it.

Wow! I was wondering where No Magic Pill went, one of my favorite blogs on the internet! Guess now I have my answer, and the domain name of the new blog! Your review of the The Tartar Steppe/The Stronghold is 100% the reason I have it on my 10 books to read before I die list (although I have not finished because I want to read it in Italian like a psycho) and so I feel very honored to receive a direct cold email from you.
I stumbled across a link to your blog a few weeks ago and it's been a great source of productivity advice and general knowledge. (I love reading through these sorts of personal wikis/lifelogs -- so much useful info). Your site is amazing and I wanted to keep following it! Keep up the good work.
Thanks so much for your manna tutorial!
Fellow semi-rationalist life optimizing person here :-) Your site is great! We seem to have a lot of overlap in beliefs, I love how you’ve shared all this stuff, and we agree that simple design is a good thing :-)
I stumbled on your website, and have enjoyed reading through it! Wanted to say thanks for taking the trouble to make it publicly accessible.
